Adequate basic sanitation is essential for creating a healthy environment and preventing environment-based diseases. This study aims to analyze the relationship between clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) of the community with basic sanitation in Calo Blang Gele Village, Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency. The design of this study was cross-sectional. The sample in this study was the Calo Blang Gele Village community totaling 81 respondents who were taken using stratified random sampling technique. The research was conducted on June 09 to July 07, 2024. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between PHBS and basic sanitation (p-value = 0.000). The majority of respondents with positive PHBS had good basic sanitation (84.2%), while respondents with negative PHBS had poor basic sanitation (67.4%). There is a significant relationship between PHBS and basic sanitation in Calo Blang Gele Village. The conclusion of this study is that people who apply positive PHBS tend to have good basic sanitation. It is suggested that the government and community need to strengthen the promotion of PHBS through education, community involvement, and the development of adequate sanitation infrastructure, as well as ensuring continuous monitoring and evaluation to support the improvement of basic sanitation quality.
